About Eobify

Eobify is a small piece of software for the person who bills a small United States practice. It has two halves. The worksheets are free and compute on the page from the numbers you type in: a visit's timed minutes into billing units under the 8-minute rule, one claim reconciled against its EOB, the superbill for a visit, and a month's counts into the denial rate, the clean-claim rate, days in A/R and the collection rates. Eobify Pro is the register those claims belong in: every claim with its payer, dates and status, the EOB posted against it, the denial and the appeal, the patient balance, kept and exportable at any time.

Why this site exists

This site exists because in most small practices the claims register is a spreadsheet, a clearinghouse portal and a pile of EOBs that agree with each other only on the day the biller reconciles them by hand, and the moment a denial times out or a patient disputes a statement, somebody spends an afternoon reconstructing what was billed, what was allowed and what was paid. The arithmetic behind a posting is simple, the record of the claim's whole life is what settles the question, and neither deserves a file nobody can find at month end.

Who it is for

The biller, office manager or owner-clinician of a therapy clinic, a chiropractic office, a mental health practice or a dermatology office with one to ten providers, who submits the claims and works what comes back, with a register that lives in a spreadsheet beside the clearinghouse portal today

Not a coder at the code lookup, not a clinician choosing an EMR or a suite, not a med spa, not a home care agency, not a lawyer or a patient in a negligence claim, not a beneficiary asking what a plan covers, and not a billing company selling its service

What it does not do

  • No coding opinion and no code set: which codes a visit supports is the coder's and the clinician's answer, the code owners publish the descriptions, and this site publishes none of them
  • No ruling on what a payer will allow: every allowed amount, deductible and copay on a worksheet is read from your own EOB, and Eobify holds no fee schedule
  • No claim submission and no clearinghouse: Eobify keeps the register of what was billed and what came back, it does not carry the claim to the payer
  • No patient data by email and no ranking sold to a vendor: the contact form asks for none, and the one ranking on this site is written from the products' own published pages, not from anyone's payment

What is on this site

4 free tools, each working its figure on the page with no account, and Eobify Pro that keeps the record. All tools · Pricing.

  • PT billing units: 8 minute rule therapy calculator: Put in the visit's timed minutes and the untimed codes, and see the timed units under the 8-minute rule, the units on the claim and the minutes documented.
  • Superbill template: Put in the visit's lines with a charge and units on each, the copay collected and the balance carried forward, and see the line totals, the total charges, the units and what goes to the payer.
  • Electronic medical billing: one claim reconciled to its EOB: Put in one claim line's charge, the allowed amount from the EOB, the deductible applied, the coinsurance percent and any copay, and see the contractual adjustment, the patient's share and the payer payment to expect.
  • Medical claims analytics: denial rate and days in A/R: Put in the month's claims submitted, denied and paid first time, the charges, adjustments, collections and outstanding balance, and see the denial rate, the clean-claim rate, days in A/R and the net collection rate.

What Eobify Pro keeps

Upgrading turns a worked claim into a register. The EOB you reconciled on the worksheet is posted against the claim it paid; the denial is recorded with its code and the appeal with its date; the patient balance carries forward to the next statement; and the month's denial rate, clean-claim rate and days in A/R are a report rather than a spreadsheet nobody trusts.
