Physical therapy medical billing software for the person who bills a small practice: the claims register, with every EOB reconciled against the claim it paid

Eobify is for the biller, office manager or owner-clinician of a small United States practice, a PT or OT clinic, a chiropractic office, a mental health practice, who sends the claims out and works what comes back.

The biller, office manager or owner-clinician of a US practice with one to ten providers, a physical or occupational therapy clinic, a chiropractic office, a mental or behavioural health practice or a dermatology office, who submits the claims and posts what comes back

Not a coder at the code lookup, not a clinician choosing an EMR, not a med spa, not a home care agency, not a negligence lawyer, not a beneficiary asking what Medicare covers, and not a billing company selling its service

A claims register is one list, and in most small practices it is a spreadsheet, a clearinghouse portal and a stack of EOBs

  1. Every claim filed once with its payer, its date of service, its charge and its status

The clearinghouse knows what went out, the EOBs know what came back, and the spreadsheet knows what somebody remembered to type. One register line per claim, with the payer and the status on it, is what lets one person say what is outstanding without opening three systems.

  2. Every EOB reconciled against the claim it paid, with the adjustment and the patient share

An EOB posted as a lump sum is a payment nobody can trace. Posting it against the claim line, with the allowed amount, the contractual adjustment, the payer payment and the patient responsibility, is what makes the patient statement right and the month's collection rate true.

  3. Every denial recorded with its code, its reason and the appeal with its date

A denial worked from memory is a denial that times out. Holding it against the claim with the reason code, the fix and the appeal date is what turns the denial rate into a number the practice can lower rather than a stack on a desk.

Should you outsource billing or buy a practice management suite instead?

If the practice has several providers across sites, an EMR you are happy with and no one to work the claims, an outsourced billing service or a suite with billing built in will suit you, and the percentage they charge is the price of not doing it. Eobify is for the practice between those: one to ten providers, a biller or an owner who works the claims, and a register that today lives in a spreadsheet beside the clearinghouse portal.

What you are buying

Eobify: A register of your claims, the EOBs posted against them, the denials, the appeals and the balances

An outsourced billing service or a practice management suite: A service that works the claims for a percentage of collections, or a suite with charting, scheduling and billing together

How it starts

Eobify: You open it and file the first claim; the free worksheets need no account at all

An outsourced billing service or a practice management suite: A contract and an onboarding, usually with your EMR connected and a transition month

How it is priced

Eobify: $49 per month for your whole practice, billed monthly, cancel from your account page

An outsourced billing service or a practice management suite: A percentage of collections for a service, or a per-provider monthly fee on an annual contract for a suite

What it does not do

Eobify: It does not submit claims to a clearinghouse, chart a visit, look up codes or rule on what a payer will allow

An outsourced billing service or a practice management suite: Covers the submission and the charting, at a price and a dependency a small practice may not want

No competitor price is stated here, deliberately: billing services quote a percentage against the practice's collections and suites quote per provider against contract length, neither of which is published, so any figure would be invented. This hub's own price is the one number on the page, and it is the same number on the pricing page, in the plan panel and at checkout.

The claim is worked out. Eobify Pro is where the register lives.

Upgrading turns a worked claim into a register. The EOB you reconciled on the worksheet is posted against the claim it paid; the denial is recorded with its code and the appeal with its date; the patient balance carries forward to the next statement; and the month's denial rate, clean-claim rate and days in A/R are a report rather than a spreadsheet nobody trusts.

  • Download the superbill or the statement as a file
  • Your superbills and statements without our name on them
  • Save a claim and reopen it when the EOB arrives
  • Your practice name and logo on every printed superbill and statement
  • Send a patient their statement from inside the register
  • Not sold on this hub: a practice collects its copays at the desk, not through us
  • Not sold on this hub: the month's figures export to your accountant instead
